Jeff Bezos along with his brother is headed to space!!!

Via a video on Instagram, The CEO of Amazon told the world that it was his lifelong dream to experience a journey to space since he was 5 years old. He wrote, “Ever since I was five years old, I’ve dreamed of traveling to space. On July 20th, I will take that journey with my brother. The greatest adventure, with my best friend. #GradatimFerociter” along with the video. In the video he mentioned, he and his brother Mark will be launching into space on July 20th aboard a rocket built by Blue Origin.

Although the firm announced details about its first flight in May, the fact that Jeff Bezos and his Brother will also travel along with the crew was not mentioned. “You see the earth from space and it changes you. It changes your relationship with this planet, with humanity. It’s one Earth,” says Bezos. “I want to go on this flight because it’s the thing I’ve wanted to do all my life. It’s an adventure. It’s a big deal for me.”

Bezos Bro’s are going to fly in a reusable rocket ‘New Shepherd’ by Blue Origin (Jeff Bezo’s Space Company).
Jeff Bezos is one of the renowned richest people of the world with a net worth of $186.2bn as per Forbes.

Mark, Jeff Bezos’s brother called it a “Remarkable opportunity” in the video.

Once the rocket takes off and reaches the Kármán line, almost 100kms above sea level, the capsule and booster will be detached from each other, which are going to allow those inside to experience weightlessness and curvature of the earth. Both the capsule and the booster will get to the land separately, while we hear the capsule will land in the west Texas desert with the help of parachutes.

Along with the Bezos Bro’s, there’s also a capacity for one person, which will be claimed by the highest bidder of an ongoing auction that ends on 12th June and currently has reached $2.8M.

The first crewed flight comes just two weeks after Mr. Bezos plans to step down as CEO of Amazon.

Instead, he will serve as executive chairman of the e-commerce giant he founded 30 years ago in his garage, allowing him “time and energy” to focus on other ventures.
